This year has been a great time tournament fishing. After having 1 year under our belts, I feel that we have a hang of how to scout, plan, and fish the tournaments.
The first tournament of the year was Mt. Island, which is a small fisherie in North Carolina. We fished there in late March and only caught short fish. Almost half the field didn't weigh a fish in!
The second tournament was the Potomac. I caught a 3 fish limit which included a 4 lber and my partner brian added 1 keeper. We took 10th place and missed qualifying by less than a pound!
The third tournamnet of the year was Champlain. Brian and I caught over 40 keepers, but just not the right size and took 17th. Tyler and Zach's team ended up catching a limit as well and weighed in two nice 4 lb smallies and took 7th place.
Next tournment is September 11th. This should be the tournament for us. I plan on living on the water up there and practice every weekend to locate some spots. Can't wait!
